Wreath making with Sassy Blooms
With Christmas fast approaching and finishing off all those last minute orders, I found a spare evening to treat myself and went to a Christmas Wreath making class by the talented Emma from Sassy Blooms.
Emma & I have worked on several weddings together so I knew this would be an excellent evening. Upon arrival I was greeted with a choice of Bucks Fizz or Prosecco along with mince pies, popcorn, crisps, nuts and chocolate…and that was before we even started!
To begin with we covered our frames with moss and then started to cut small, medium and large pieces of various foliage in order to build up a base for the wreath. Once this was done and had been tightly bound, we were let loose on the decorations! Baubles in all colours possible, berries, dried lemons and limes, cinnamon sticks, wooden stags, fir cones, ribbons and lots lots more were available for us to choose from. Emma then showed us the best way to thread them onto the wreath.
The last stage was to cover the back of the wreath in a protective covering and hey presto! a handmade complete Christmas Wreath
I would just like to say to Emma what a great evening it was and thank you for teaching us xx
