How to plan a stress-free wedding
Where does the time go? Christmas was done and dusted more than two months ago and we’re already a month on from Valentine’s Day! If you got engaged at Christmas, or on Valentine’s Day, congratulations! Now it’s time to start planning your day.
We imagine that you’re already looking at venues and going to a few wedding fairs. You’ve probably got loads of questions. For one thing, where do you start with it all? We’ve got a few hints to help you relax and enjoy the process of planning your special day.
What matters to you?
When it comes to planning a wedding, there is no right order. Good venues get booked up far in advance, so you might want to sort that first. Beyond that, you can do your planning in any order you choose. It’s your day. It’s a great idea to sit down together and talk about what’s important to you.
Everyone has their own wedding priorities. Some people want to find their photographer first so that the memories are captured in just the right way. Others want to focus on their colour scheme and styling. The people who come to us first want to find the perfect cake.
Creating relationships
Finding the perfect cake maker can be a bit like falling in love. When you meet the right one, you just know. Creating a good relationship will give you the best results. You need to feel comfortable talking to all your wedding suppliers. If they make you feel awkward about asking for what you want, they’re not the right person for you.
We want you to say ‘wow’ right from your first consultation because we know that’s how your friends and family will react at your wedding. When you see those first designs imagine how your cake will look as the centrepiece at your reception. When you’ve found the right cake maker, they will work to bring your vision to life.
